'Kaguya-sama: Love Is War' Anime Confirms Final Chapter Film

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War has confirmed that a "Final Chapter" film is in production, featuring a brand new story by original series creator Aka Akasaka.

The announcement came alongside the premiere of the special "Otona e no Kaidan" ("The Stairway to Adulthood"), which is now streaming on Crunchyroll.

A brief 10-second video teased the upcoming film, described as being based on a "fresh concept" by Akasaka.

Fans responded to the announcement on social media, sharing their excitement for the continuation of the series and the original story element. More details about the film will be revealed as production progresses.

Shinichi Omata returned to direct the special "Otona e no Kaidan" at studio A-1 Pictures. Character designs were handled by Yuko Yahiro, and music was composed by Kei Haneoka. 

The series follows Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane, the two leaders of the Shuchiin Academy student council.

Although both are in love, their pride prevents them from confessing, resulting in a strategic "war" to make the other admit their feelings first. The story is a romantic comedy highlighting the clever and sometimes cunning interactions between the elite students.

The announcement of a Final Chapter film marks a new phase in the franchise, promising an original storyline from Akasaka himself.
