Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez host New Year’s Eve superyacht gathering in St. Barts

Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez marked New Year’s Eve in St. Barts, hosting a series of celebrations centred around superyachts anchored off the Caribbean island.

The couple arrived after spending Christmas in Aspen, Colorado, before travelling to Saint Barthélemy for the holiday period.

Bezos’s superyacht Koru was anchored near Gustavia alongside more than 200 other vessels, a gathering described by local observers as the largest concentration of superyachts recorded in the area for a New Year’s Eve celebration.

The yachts formed the backdrop for festivities that continued from daytime beach events into the evening.

Earlier in the day, Bezos and Sánchez were seen attending a party at Nikki Beach, one of the island’s best-known beach clubs. Videos shared on social media showed Sánchez dancing while Bezos stood nearby, with the clip later circulating widely online.

Attendees and onlookers described the atmosphere as “electric,” according to comments shared on social platforms.

Security was visible throughout the venue as guests moved between tables, bottle service areas and nearby celebrations. The beach club gathering took place ahead of evening events across the harbour, where yachts prepared for midnight celebrations.

In addition to Koru, several high-profile vessels were present in St. Barts for the holiday period, including Kismet and Rising Sun, both of which have been regular features during end-of-year gatherings in the region.

Locals noted that the harbour appeared unusually crowded due to the number of large yachts arriving simultaneously.

St. Barts has become a regular destination for New Year’s Eve among wealthy travellers, with its mix of beach clubs, private events and maritime celebrations.

Festivities traditionally conclude with fireworks over the harbour and coordinated horn signals from anchored vessels at midnight.

The celebrations marked Bezos and Sánchez’s first New Year’s Eve as a married couple, following their wedding in Venice in June 2025.
