ECP announces revised by-poll schedule for PP-167

The ECP has issued a revised notification for by-election on the vacant Punjab Assembly seat PP-167 Lahore, announcing changes to the polling date and election schedule.

According to the notification, polling for the by-election will now be held on Feb 4, instead of the earlier announced date of Feb 8. Candidates will be able to submit their nomination papers from January 7 to January 9, while the initial list of candidates will be published on Jan 9.

The scrutiny of nomination papers will be completed by Jan 12. The final list of candidates along with the allotment of election symbols will be issued on Jan 24, the notification said.
