DG KHAN:

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has officially notified Osama Abdul Karim of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) as the unopposed winner of the PP-289 provincial assembly seat.

The seat fell vacant after Sardar Mehmood Qadir Khan Leghari was elected as a member of the National Assembly.

During the by-election process, the rival candidate, Muhammad Ibad Khan, formally withdrew his nomination by submitting a written statement to the Election Commission, leaving Osama Abdul Karim uncontested. According to the ECP, District Returning Officer Nasir Mehmood issued Form 34, confirming that all legal requirements were met. Following the issuance of the notification, Osama Abdul Karim has been officially declared the member of the Provincial Assembly from PP-289 without any contest.
