Scott Adams has shared a further update on his health, telling viewers that doctors have given him little hope of recovery. The Dilbert creator and political commentator addressed his condition during a New Year’s Day broadcast on Rumble, where he said his latest visit with a radiologist brought only negative news.
“The odds of me recovering are essentially zero,” Adams said during the programme. “I’ll give you an update if that changes, but it won’t.”
Adams has previously disclosed that he has metastatic prostate cancer and has been providing regular updates to his audience. In his latest comments, he said he has lost feeling in his legs and is dealing with what he described as ongoing heart failure.
In November, Adams publicly appealed to President Donald Trump for help accessing a cancer medication he said he urgently needed. Trump responded, and Adams later confirmed he had received the treatment. However, he said in December that progress had stalled and that the treatment had encountered complications.
Despite the seriousness of his condition, Adams maintained a composed tone while addressing viewers. He said he intends to continue working on Dilbert and other projects for as long as he is able.
“I’ll just act like nothing’s happening,” he said. “I’ll just pretend I have no problems, which is easier than you think.”
Adams added that he relies on pain medication and marijuana to manage his symptoms, saying the latter helps him concentrate and remain productive.
He also used the broadcast to ask viewers if there had been any updates on fellow commentator Victor Davis Hanson, who recently announced he was undergoing surgery for a serious medical issue.
A longtime political commentator, Adams was an early supporter of Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign and has continued to back him publicly in the years since.
He again expressed appreciation for his audience’s support and encouraged viewers to prepare for what he described as a period of transition in the coming weeks.
Adams concluded by thanking supporters for their concern and said he would continue sharing updates as his condition develops.
