Grand celebrations for ZAB's birthday
The hanging of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, an elected prime minister, through a mockery of a trial, did not tip us over.
The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Rawalpindi and Islamabad chapters have announced elaborate celebrations to mark the birthday of former prime minister and party founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on January 5, with preparations already underway.
Cake-cutting ceremonies will be held at PPP district, city and tehsil offices, as well as at the party's central secretariat in Islamabad. Additional events will be organised by the Peoples Lawyers Forum at the District Bar, by Christian organisations at churches, and at the site of Benazir Bhutto's martyrdom.
Central Secretariat In-charge Sibtul Hassan Bukhari said the chief guest at the cake-cutting ceremony at the secretariat will be PPP Central Secretary General Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, where a 10-pound cake will be cut.
Central leader Rashid Chauhan said a birthday cake will be cut at the central church at 3 pm.
