Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton welcome second child together, with first born in 2022

Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton have welcomed their second child together, the couple confirmed in a recent interview with GQ. The Loki actor described the experience of becoming a parent again as "most beautiful, profound, earth-shattering, life-altering."

Ashton had previously hinted at their growing family in November through an Instagram post, where she visited a local baby bank and reflected on children facing challenging circumstances.

"Throughout my recovery, I have thought deeply about the children in our world facing the most devastating living conditions and those tirelessly working to protect them," she wrote.

The couple confirmed the pregnancy in June 2025, with Ashton announcing it in Vogue. Shortly after, they attended the U.K. premiere of Hiddleston’s film The Life of Chuck during SXSW London, where Ashton appeared on the red carpet in an Emilia Wickstead sky-blue silk crepe gown, showing her baby bump.

Hiddleston, 44, and Ashton, 41, first became parents in October 2022. The pair met while starring in the 2019 play Betrayal, and their chemistry on stage was noted by sources close to the production.

"They were very private publicly, but behind the scenes, you could just see a lovely chemistry," a source told PEOPLE in March 2022.

Hiddleston made a rare public comment about their relationship in March 2022, telling the Los Angeles Times, "I'm very happy," shortly after their red carpet debut as a couple at the 2021 Tony Awards.

Since then, the couple has continued to keep their family life largely out of the public eye while occasionally sharing glimpses through social media and interviews.
