Sheep within: FIA disciplines 10 more officials
Issues demotions, suspensions for absenteeism, neglectful behaviour

The accountability process is underway in the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). Director General Rifat Mukhtar Raja has issued orders to give departmental punishment to 10 officials involved in corruption, breach of discipline and misuse of authority.
According to the details, the Director General reviewed the cases of complaints against the staff during at the FIA headquarters and took departmental action against the officials involved in breach of discipline, corruption and misuse of authority during the case-to-case hearing. A total of 10 officers and officials will be punished.
Inspector Muhammad Iqbal was demoted to the rank of sub-inspector for 1 year for not verifying the driving license during the recruitment of a constable driver. Technical Assistant Nazish Akmal was dismissed from service for absenteeism. Inspector Asad Iftikhar Awan was sentenced to 2 pay scales reduction for 2 years. Constable Kamran Saleem was removed from duty. Head Constable Muhammad Ali was suspended for 1 year for absenteeism.
Constables Muhammad Hamza and Muhammad Waqar were suspended for 3 and 1 year respectively for absenteeism from training at the National Highway and Motorway Police Training College, Sheikhupura. While Head Constable Muhammad Adnan, ASI Asim Gulzar, Head Constable Shoaib Muhammad Khan, Constable Inder Kumar, Constable Rubia Sajid and Constable Tahir Hussain were issued warnings for absenteeism from duty and training.
DG Raja said that the purpose of departmental accountability is to ensure strict adherence to legal and professional standards.
