A brawl between two rival groups over a property dispute led to police action in Rawat area on Wednesday. Three persons were arrested and five vehicles, along with four Kalashnikovs were seized, police sources said. The sources said that Malik Muhammad Akram, a resident of Bagga Sheikhan, sold his house to Chaudhry Altaf, a resident of Gujrat, a few months ago.
The status of the property remained disputed due to which on Wednesday both the groups convened at Bali Chowk and started exchanging gunfire. On receiving information about the clash, the Rawat police reached the scene and controlled the situation. The police registered separate cases under relevant sections of law. Meanwhile, two men were injured when a tractor-trolley and a dumper (TKJ-719) collided on GT Road. Due to the accident, traffic on GT Road remained blocked for over two hours.
