Edu Dept staff barred from politics
The Education Department has taken serious notice of government employees' involvement in political activities and has directed all District Education Officers (DEOs) to initiate action against those found violating service rules.
In an official letter issued to DEOs, the department warned that government employees participating in political activities could face disciplinary action, including dismissal from service. The department stressed that employees are strictly barred from engaging in politics or using their official status to influence election results.
According to the letter, it has been observed that several government employees are actively participating in political activities and openly expressing political affiliations on various social media platforms. The department has instructed that all employees be stopped from taking part in any political campaign.
