Temperature may fall to 11°C as PMD forecasts light rain in Karachi on Dec 30

Rainfall, snowfall also predicted in several other parts of the country in the coming days

The Pakistan Meteorological Department forecast light drizzle and rain in Karachi during the night of December 30, with cloudy conditions likely to persist through the day and temperatures expected to drop further, while rainfall and snowfall are also anticipated in several other parts of the country in the coming days.

According to the Met Office’s Early Warning Centre, the city is likely to remain overcast, with chances of drizzle and light rainfall at night. The department said the expected rainfall may bring the minimum temperature down to around 11 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature is likely to drop further and hover around 25 degrees Celsius.

The PMD said Karachi is expected to experience dry weather for three days following the rainfall, accompanied by cold nights. In its outlook for the next few days, the department also forecast light rain on December 30 in several rural areas of Sindh, including Dadu, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Larkana, Hyderabad, Badin and Thatta.
