'My Hero Academia' concert tour reveals trailer and key visual ahead of 2026 launch
Toho has released a trailer and key visual for the upcoming My Hero Academia In Concert world tour, offering the first look at the live production inspired by the long-running anime series.
The tour is produced by GEA Live and will begin on May 30, 2026, at the Pacifico Yokohama National Convention Hall in Japan, before expanding to international venues.
The concert is designed as a live cinematic experience that combines projected footage from the anime with a live performance of the series’ music.
Composer Hayashi Yuki’s score will be performed by a band in sync with scenes displayed on a large-scale screen, drawing from all eight seasons of the anime.
According to the organisers, the programme will feature major battles, emotional turning points and defining character moments from across the show’s decade-long run.
Well-known compositions from the series, including “You Say Run” and “You Can Become a Hero,” will be performed live during the concert. The production aims to reflect the tension, emotional weight and dramatic stakes that have shaped My Hero Academia since its debut.
Floris Douwes, producer and managing director at GEA Live, said the concert offers fans a different way to engage with the story. He described Hayashi’s music as central to the series’ identity and said that performing it live amplifies the impact of key moments shown on screen.
Based on the manga by Horikoshi Kohei, My Hero Academia is set in a world where most people possess superpowers known as Quirks. The story follows Midoriya Izuku and his classmates at U.A. High School as they train to become professional heroes. The anime concluded with its eighth and final season in autumn 2025.
GEA Live has previously produced live and location-based entertainment projects tied to franchises including PlayStation, Avatar: The Last Airbender and Demon Slayer, delivering performances in more than 40 countries.
