Gisele Bündchen marries jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente in Florida

Gisele Bündchen has married jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente in a private ceremony in Surfside, Florida.

The couple tied the knot on Dec. 3, according to marriage records reviewed by PEOPLE, with Page Six first reporting the news.

Bündchen, 45, and Valente share a baby boy born earlier this year, her third child following son Benjamin, 15, and daughter Vivian, 12, from her previous marriage to Tom Brady.

Sources previously told PEOPLE the couple were “happy for this new chapter” and focused on building a calm, loving family life.

The pair were first seen together in November 2022 while vacationing in Costa Rica with Bündchen’s children and began dating in June 2023. Though she initially described their relationship as a friendship, it later turned romantic, with sources noting Valente was a strong source of support during her divorce from Brady, finalized in October 2022.

Friends close to the couple say they bonded over shared Brazilian roots, healthy living and life in Miami, describing Bündchen as happy and settled as she moves forward into this new phase of her life.
