Vigilantes: Robber caught, beaten up by people

A robber was caught and beaten up by people in Bahauddin Zakariya area on Thursday. Police said that three men entered Safeer’s shop on Rasheedabad Chowk and deprived a man of his cash and his mobile phone. Before they left, Safeer along with some men attacked them and caught one Umer, while his two accomplices, Zohaib and Aslam, fled away. The robber was tied inside the shop and beaten with sticks. Other shopkeepers in and spectators gathered outside the shop to see the robber being beaten up. He was later handed over to Bahauddin Zakariya police. The arrested robber was identified as a resident of Karachi and was living in a rented house in Multan.
