Controversial influencer Ash Trevino was arrested in Texas on the evening of December 17 in connection with outstanding felony warrants, according to local authorities.

Trevino, whose legal name is Ashley Lopez-Trevino, was taken into custody by the Venus Police Department and booked into the Ellis County Jail before later being released on bond.

Police said a patrol officer made contact with Lopez-Trevino at her residence shortly before 8 p.m. after confirming she had active felony warrants issued by the Waxahachie Police Department. Authorities stated that the arrest occurred without incident and that she was transported directly to the Ellis County Jail for booking.

A spokesperson for the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that Lopez-Trevino posted a $15,000 bond and was released from custody. Officials declined to provide additional details about the warrants, and the nature of the alleged charges has not yet been publicly disclosed. The Waxahachie Police Department did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Trevino, 36, has built a sizable following online, with more than 500,000 followers across Instagram and Snapchat. She has frequently drawn attention and criticism for controversial content, including public discussions about her personal life and relationships that have sparked widespread debate on social media.

Following her release, Trevino appeared in videos shared to her social media accounts, where she was seen leaving the jail and later addressing her followers during a livestream. In the recordings, she said she had retained legal counsel and intended to contest the case. She also suggested she planned to continue with her day as usual.

As of publication, Trevino has not publicly commented in detail on the arrest or the warrants. Law enforcement officials have not confirmed whether formal charges have been filed.
