Reaction: Trade gate between Iran, Pakistan closed

Due to the closure of Zero Point at the border of Pakistan and Iran, thousands of local labourers have been jobless

The trade gate between Pakistan and Iran was closed on Thursday for an indefinite period. “Due to the closure of Zero Point at the border of Pakistan and Iran, thousands of local labourers have been rendered jobless,” an official of the Levies said. Talking to APP, he said Iranian officials had closed Zero Point, a trade gate between the two countries, for an indefinite period. Reacting to the Mastung incident, transporters have also suspended the Quetta-Taftan transport service, demanding security for passengers. The official added that thousands of people had become unemployed due to the closure of Zero Point.
