Hugh Jackman has hinted that his legendary run as Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) might not be over, despite previously retiring the role.

The actor, who first donned the adamantium claws more than two decades ago, surprised audiences with his return in the 2024 blockbuster Deadpool and Wolverine.

During a recent appearance on The View, Jackman revealed that, while he still isn’t making any firm promises, his instinct tells him there’s more of Logan’s story left to tell.

Jackman stressed that he could be open to future Marvel projects, even though he acknowledged that Marvel Studios ultimately control those decisions and may have their own plans.

Jackman reflected on his long association with the character, which began in the early 2000s and spanned 10 films, and explained that stepping back into the role for Deadpool and Wolverine felt special.

He said his return came after persistent encouragement from co-star Ryan Reynolds and a growing recognition that the story still held personal meaning for him. His comments suggest a willingness to consider further appearances as Wolverine, even if nothing is officially confirmed.

The possibility of Jackman returning has fueled speculation that he could appear in upcoming MCU tentpoles such as Avengers: Doomsday, set for a December 2026 release, which already features a star-studded ensemble of superheroes and returning X-Men characters. \

While Jackman hasn’t directly confirmed his involvement, his openness to future projects has delighted fans eager to see the iconic mutant hero continue his journey in the MCU.

Even as Jackman continues to explore new roles, his legacy as Wolverine remains a defining part of his career and a beloved element of the broader Marvel saga.
