Polls: LCCI elects new office-bearers
The formal announcement of poll results is expected at LCCI’s annual general meeting on September 30.

Irfan Qaiser Sheikh was elected as president of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) here on Thursday. Kashif Younas Mehar and Saeeda Nazar were elected as senior vice president and vice president, respectively. All three candidates were elected unopposed.
The formal announcement of poll results is expected at LCCI’s annual general meeting on September 30. Speaking to the media, Sheikh said that a tight monetary policy was not the only solution to the problem of high inflation.
“Inflation can be tackled by increasing production and cutting unnecessary expenditures.”
