Incinerator reportedly found at D4vd's Hollywood home linked to Celeste Rivas investigation
A boxed incinerator marketed as a “burn cage” was reportedly discovered at a Hollywood Hills home rented by singer D4vd around the time Celeste Rivas' body was found in the trunk of a Tesla registered to the artist, according to a private investigator hired by the property owner.
The incinerator, which was unused and still in its packaging, was found inside the Doheny Street residence by Steve Fischer, who was retained to search the property after it was vacated. Fischer said the equipment was advertised to burn at 1,600 degrees and described it as an unusual item to find in a residential setting.
In a post shared on social media, Fischer wrote that the discovery was something one “would expect to find on a farm rather than in a home in the Hollywood Hills.” He noted that incinerators are illegal to operate in Los Angeles County and questioned why the unit had been delivered to a private residence. “Some will argue that this item was intended as a prop for a video,” he wrote, adding that its delivery and lack of use raised further questions.
D4vd, whose real name is David Austen Burke, was on his “Withered” world tour when the remains of Rivas were discovered on September 8 in the trunk of a Tesla linked to him. The vehicle had been impounded after tow yard workers reported a strong odour. The car was parked less than half a mile from the Hollywood Hills property.
Following the discovery, the singer cancelled the remaining tour dates. Police later executed a search warrant at the residence and seized “several items of evidence”, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Fischer said the incinerator was not taken during the search.
“The Burn Cage was not taken during the search warrant, and because it was not used it appears it’s not of importance to any possible criminal investigation,” Fischer wrote. “But we think it’s important context, even if not criminal.”
Authorities have not released an official cause of death, and no arrests have been made. The nature of the relationship between D4vd and Rivas has not been publicly detailed.
