An interview Rob Reiner gave a few months before his death, in which he reflected thoughtfully on his career and legacy, is drawing renewed attention following the deaths of the veteran film-maker and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner.

During a wide-ranging conversation with Piers Morgan, Reiner was asked which of his many films he would most like to be remembered for. “People have their favourites. They, you know, and the cliché, we love all our children, even the bad ones,” he said, before explaining that one particular film held the deepest personal meaning for him.
