Fergie has reunited with her former Black Eyed Peas bandmates eight years after leaving the group, marking the occasion with a private birthday celebration shared on social media.

The singer, whose real name is Stacy Ann Ferguson, joined will.i.am, Taboo and APL.DE.AP for what she described as a “milestone” gathering. Posting photos to Instagram on December 13, Fergie wrote: “Finally got to break bread and celebrate our milestone birthdays together. What a special night with my brothers, filled with so much love.”

The reunion comes eight years after Fergie stepped away from the band in June 2017. Since then, she has largely focused on family life and selective musical appearances. However, this was not her only recent return to the stage. In October, she made a surprise appearance during Ludacris’ set at ONE Musicfest in Atlanta, joining him to perform their 2006 hit “Glamorous”.

The Black Eyed Peas have previously spoken positively about Fergie’s decision to step back. In 2020, will.i.am said. “She’s focusing on being a mom. That’s a hard job, and that’s what she really wants to do and we’re here for her.”
