Formula One: ‘Title not the aim in Singapore’
Vettel insists he is in no rush to secure his second title, ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix.
SINGAPORE:
Sebastian Vettel insists he is in no rush to secure his second title, ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix this weekend. “It’s one of the most difficult tracks, it’s a long way to the chequered flag,” he said. “A lot of people talk about securing the title this weekend. That’s not the objective this weekend – the target is to optimise our performance.” Meanwhile, Jenson Button said that the race was too demanding for the drivers and that they would like to see it shortened. Last year’s race was won by Fernando Alonso in one hour 57 minutes and 52 seconds, with the drivers working doubly hard due to the stop-start nature of the circuit.
