Somerset beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 11 runs in a Champions League Twenty20 qualifier, with both the teams qualifying for the main round of the competition. Chasing a target of 167 to win, Kolkata finished on 155 for eight. A 31-ball 46 by Ryan ten Doeschate was the highlight for Kolkata. Roeluf van der Merwe and Max Waller finished with two wickets apiece. Earlier, Somerset’s innings was helped by fine 70 by Peter Trego as the English team racked up a competitive total. Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians have been allowed to include five foreign players in their playing-eleven due to injuries to several of their Indian stars.
