Tom Hiddleston is back as Jonathan Pine in the trailer for season two of The Night Manager, plunging once again into a web of international intrigue and betrayal.
Now undercover as MI6 employee Alex Goodwin in London, Pine’s quiet life is shattered when he recognizes a former mercenary tied to notorious Colombian arms trafficker Teddy Dos Santos, played by Diego Calva.
Olivia Colman reprises her role as Angela Burr, urging Pine back into the field, though their partnership shows signs of strain. To navigate Dos Santos’ network, Pine teams up with Roxana Bolaños (Camila Morrone), a shrewd businesswoman with ties to the criminal underworld. What starts as a covert operation soon escalates into a deadly game of survival as Pine uncovers a conspiracy that could destabilize an entire country, forcing him to question loyalties at every turn.
Season two introduces Indira Varma, Paul Chahidi, and Hayley Squires, while returning cast members include Alistair Petrie, Douglas Hodge, Michael Nardone, and Noah Jupe. Based on John le Carré’s characters, the series is helmed by creator and executive producer David Farr and directed by Georgi Banks-Davies, with Hiddleston joining the executive producer roster this season.
Prime Video will release the first three episodes on January 11, with new episodes streaming weekly on Sundays until the February 1 finale. The show will also air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK.
The new season is produced by The Ink Factory in partnership with Character 7, Demarest Films, 127 Wall, and co-produced with Spain’s Nostromo Pictures.
Executive producers include Stephen Garrett, Simon and Stephen Cornwell, Michele Wolkoff, Tessa Inkelaar, Joe Tsai, Arthur Wang, Banks-Davies, Hugh Laurie, and others.
