WWE’s biggest superstars — including Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, and CM Punk — have united to honour John Cena ahead of his highly anticipated retirement match.
The emotional tribute video, released across WWE’s digital platforms, celebrates the legendary 17-time World Champion as he prepares to step inside the ring one final time.
Cena’s farewell bout will take place on December 13 at Saturday Night’s Main Event inside Washington D.C.’s Capital One Arena, where he will face Gunther.
The “Ring General” earned the opportunity after defeating LA Knight in the final of the “Last Time Is Now” tournament, setting up a long-awaited showdown between two of WWE’s top competitors.
With the countdown to the John Cena retirement match underway, WWE released a silent, deeply symbolic tribute video.
Featuring no dialogue, the montage includes wrestlers and staff using Cena’s signature gestures — from the iconic “You Can’t See Me” taunt to salutes and handwritten messages — to express their admiration.

The tribute features appearances from top WWE superstars and legends, including: Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair, Bayley, The Miz, AJ Styles, Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and many others.
Cena’s longtime cameraman, Stew, also appears, offering a personal touch that resonated strongly with fans who have followed the star’s two-decade-long career.
Even WWE leadership joined in, with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon praising Cena’s impact as a performer, locker-room leader, and global ambassador — reinforcing his legacy as one of the most influential figures in WWE history.
The tribute marks the emotional peak of Cena’s year-long farewell tour, celebrating more than 20 years of iconic rivalries, championships, and crossover success beyond the ring.
Alongside the Gunther vs. John Cena main event, Saturday Night’s Main Event will also feature a stacked card:
Cody Rhodes vs. NXT Champion Oba Femi
Bayley vs. Sol Ruca
AJ Styles & Dragon Lee vs. Je’Von Evans & Leon Slater
With WWE pulling out all the stops, fans worldwide eagerly await what promises to be one of the most memorable nights in modern WWE history — and a fitting farewell to John Cena’s legendary career.
