Taylor Swift appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on December 10, 2025, where she was asked to name her top five songs from her own catalog. The 14-time Grammy winner admitted the task was challenging, noting that her preferences are “constantly changing” and that she would need more time to finalize the full list.

Despite the difficulty, Swift revealed the two songs she currently ranks highest: the 10-minute version of All Too Well from Red (Taylor’s Version) and Mirrorball from her 2020 album Folklore. She also indicated other tracks likely to appear in her top five once she has had time to reflect, including The Life of a Showgirl and The Fate of Ophelia, both from her latest album, The Life of a Showgirl.

She left the fifth slot open, promising to provide an update in the future.

“I can’t really do any of the others right now,” Swift told Colbert. “I think I require a little bit of time to appreciate my work in a way… and it’s constantly changing.”

Swift’s latest album, The Life of a Showgirl, continues to perform strongly on the charts. As of November, it had spent four consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, while the single The Fate of Ophelia also logged four weeks on the Hot 100, making Swift the only artist to hold the top spot on both charts simultaneously for a full month.
