Quentin Tarantino is facing growing backlash in Hollywood after The Office star Zach Woods publicly slammed him over recent harsh comments about fellow actors.

The controversy erupted after Tarantino appeared on a podcast and criticized several performers — including fan favorites Paul Dano and Matthew Lillard — claiming they “ruin” any project they join. His remarks were widely viewed as unnecessarily harsh, sparking immediate reactions across social media and within the industry

Woods didn’t stop there. In one video, he accused Tarantino of “ripping off Asian directors,” pointing to long-standing debates about the filmmaker’s stylistic influences. He also took aim at Tarantino’s well-known foot fetish jokes and resurfaced the filmmaker’s controversial past defense of Roman Polanski, calling him a “statutory rape apologist.” The reference stems from a widely criticized Howard Stern interview Tarantino gave years ago.

Fans and fellow performers have rallied behind Woods, with many agreeing that Tarantino’s comments about Dano and Lillard were needlessly cruel. Others expressed shock at how personal Woods’ response became, noting that few actors publicly confront Tarantino with such intensity.

The mounting backlash raises questions about whether Tarantino will respond or attempt to deescalate the situation. For now, the filmmaker has remained silent, while Woods’ videos continue to gain traction across social platforms. As the feud grows, it highlights a broader conversation about respect, criticism, and accountability in Hollywood.
