Comedian Marlon Wayans and rapper 50 Cent sparked a viral social media feud following the release of 50 Cent’s Netflix documentary, Sean Combs: The Reckoning.

The four-part series examines Sean “Diddy” Combs’ career, controversies, and legacy, including interviews with celebrities such as Aubrey O’Day, Mark Curry, and Greg Kading.

Wayans shared his views in an interview on The Cruz Show, criticizing 50 Cent for “kicking a man when he’s down” in reference to Diddy, calling the disputes “personal” and noting the ethical implications of publicly airing such conflicts.

He said: “It’s between him and Puff, it’s between both of them and God. Just the way Puff is down on his luck and 50 is kicking a man when he’s down. If 50 ever, luck turns on 50, you know that you got to be careful when you put out. There’s a karma to every action that you do.”

Wayans countered with his own meme, inserting 50 Cent’s face onto a still from 12 Years a Slave and writing, “Now let’s think about this 50.”

The exchange drew widespread attention, demonstrating how social media has become a platform for public disputes between celebrities. Fans and media outlets closely followed the humorous yet pointed back-and-forth, highlighting larger conversations about accountability and transparency in hip-hop.

Despite the feud, Sean Combs: The Reckoning has gained traction as one of Netflix’s trending shows, with 50 Cent, the executive producer, noting the series’ unexpected success. The documentary’s reception and the online spat have fueled discussion about the culture of celebrity, personal rivalries, and the power of social media to amplify conflicts in real time.
