Zendaya and Robert Pattinson are generating notable online discussion following the reveal of the first poster for their forthcoming A24 romantic comedy, The Drama.

The image, shared by Zendaya on Instagram on December 9, prompted a wave of reactions across social platforms as users highlighted their anticipation for the pairing.

The poster features Zendaya, 29, leaning against Pattinson, 39, while he wraps an arm around her in a posed photograph. Zendaya’s character appears engaged, showing a ring as she places a hand on her chest. She captioned the post, “THE DRAMA. Formal invitation to follow.”

The film is written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli and centres on a “happily engaged couple” whose wedding week is disrupted when an unexpected revelation challenges their relationship, according to the film’s IMDb description. Alongside the leading pair, the cast includes Alana Haim, Mamoudou Athie, Michael Abbott Jr., Hailey Gates and Sydney Lemmon.

While the film will not be released until April 3 2026, the early promotional material has already created significant interest. Social media users shared their responses with enthusiasm.

One fan wrote, “ZENDAYA AND ROBERT PATTINSON IN THE SAME MOVIE, WE'RE SO READY.” Another commented, “Your movie run in 2026 gonna change my life.” Others expressed excitement about the casting, with one user posting, “My two loves together! My God, I'm ready.”

Comments also highlighted high anticipation for the romantic comedy genre featuring the two performers. One user joked about their anticipation by saying, “I’m so seated. The employees are trying to kick me out of the theatre, but I’m simply too seated,” while another asked, “Seen enough. What time should I be at the theatre?”

The continued online attention suggests that The Drama is already positioned as one of the more closely watched releases of 2026.
