Nikki Glaser, Brenda Song and Fortune Feimster have joined Kim Kardashian in the cast of the upcoming Netflix comedy The Fifth Wheel.
The film will be directed by Eva Longoria from a script by Paula Pell and Janine Brito, with Kardashian and Pell producing alongside Jessica Elbaum, Will Ferrell and Alex Brown for Gloria Sanchez, and Cris Abrego and Longoria through Hyphenate Media Group. Mary Bundy and David Hyman serve as executive producers.
The story centres on a group of high-school best friends who reunite for a weekend trip to Las Vegas. Their plans take an unexpected turn when a “hot outsider” played by Kardashian joins the trip, forcing the group to confront unresolved issues, past decisions and the state of their friendship.
The project has been a major priority since Netflix acquired it in a competitive auction over Thanksgiving weekend in 2023. The script, shaped by Pell’s established comedy background, has reportedly been praised by buyers as one of the funniest seen in recent years.
Glaser’s involvement follows her widely discussed performance at the Tom Brady Roast on Netflix, which boosted her profile and led to further opportunities, including a developing comedy at Universal in which she is set to star with Judd Apatow producing.
Song was recently featured opposite Kate Hudson in the Netflix sports comedy Running Point and appeared in The Last Showgirl with Pamela Anderson. Feimster has starred in the Netflix action series Fubar alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger and provided voice work for Zootopia 2.
