Prime Video has released the first official images from Young Sherlock, the upcoming Guy Ritchie-directed period thriller series starring Hero Fiennes Tiffin as a 19-year-old Sherlock Holmes.

The show delivers a fresh, globe-spanning origin story for Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s legendary detective, reimagining Holmes at the very beginning of his investigative journey.

Based on Andy Lane’s Young Sherlock book series, the adaptation blends Ritchie’s signature cinematic style with classic mystery elements. Set in the 1870s, the series follows a youthful, unfiltered Sherlock as he tackles his first major murder case. The new images showcase Tiffin fully in character, capturing Sherlock in action, in costume, and immersed in high-stakes investigative work across international locations.

Young Sherlock marks Guy Ritchie’s first return to the Sherlock Holmes universe since directing the widely successful Sherlock Holmes (2009) and A Game of Shadows (2011), both starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. Although rumors of a third film have circulated for years, the new series offers Ritchie’s most direct revisit to the iconic detective in over a decade.

The series will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in 2026, giving fans a new, energetic interpretation of Sherlock Holmes’ earliest adventures.
