'The Boys' to Launch First Video Game Ahead of Final Season

'The Boys' will be adapted into a VR game, The Boys: Trigger Warning, set for release in 2026

The Prime Video series The Boys will be adapted into its first video game, titled The Boys: Trigger Warning, with release scheduled for 2026.

Brazilian game studio Arvore and Sony Pictures Virtual Reality announced the project on Monday, confirming that several cast members will reprise their roles.

Players will join the Boys on missions to infiltrate the corrupt Vought International, placing them "on the front lines of the war against Supes," according to a news release.

Cast members Laz Alonso, Colby Minifie, and P.J. Byrne will return as Mother’s Milk, Ashley Barrett, and Adam Bourke, respectively. Jensen Ackles will also appear as a twisted version of his series character, Soldier Boy, created specifically for the game.

Ricardo Justus, Arvore’s founder, said the game was developed in close collaboration with the series’ writers and cast. "From day one, we wanted to build an adaptation hand-in-hand with the people who defined this universe," he stated. Justus added that working with the original team ensured the game reflects the "edge, humour, and brutality" of the show, enhanced by Arvore’s technology.

The Boys, based on the comic series of the same name, depicts a world where superheroes are celebrities who often abuse their powers. The show’s title characters aim to combat this corruption.

The Prime Video series began in 2019, with four seasons released to date and a fifth and final season scheduled for April 8, 2026. New episodes will air weekly, with the finale on May 20.

The VR game is now available for pre-order via Meta Quest and can be added to wishlists on the PlayStation Store. Fans can expect to experience the same satirical and action-packed adventures that have defined the series.
