British content creator Bonnie Blue arrested in Bali for violating morality laws

Blue faces upto 15 years in jail as officials assess potential violations of Indonesia’s strict anti-pornography laws

Bonnie Blue is expected to be interviewed by immigration officials within the next 48 hours following her arrest in Bali, where authorities are assessing potential violations of Indonesia’s strict anti-pornography laws.

The 26-year-old British adult content creator was detained alongside 17 male tourists aged between 19 and 40 for allegedly creating pornographic material, which is prohibited under Indonesian legislation.

Footage captured 14 Australian men leaving a detention centre with their faces partially covered shortly after their arrest on Friday.

Two British men, an Australian man and Blue, whose real name is Tia Billinger, were held longer, with the adult star released on Saturday morning. The 14 Australians were reportedly interviewed as witnesses and are expected to return home soon.

An immigration official from Ngurah Rai told the Daily Mail that Blue entered Bali on a tourist visa and her trip, advertised online as part of her “Bangbus tour”, coincided with Schoolies celebrations for graduating Australians.

Officials are considering how to proceed with Blue and the three remaining men. The immigration source said, “We will be deepening the investigation to check her activity during her time in Bali and work jointly with police.” He added that charges may depend on whether commercial content was produced and whether the activity caused unrest.

Badung Police Chief Arif Batubara said the arrests followed a public report of “suspected pornography or the creation of indecent video material”.

Blue has built her brand on viral explicit stunts and was seen in Bali social media posts meeting young men and travelling in a van used for content creation. There is no suggestion of involvement of minors.
