PESHAWAR:

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has warned that if the provincial government fails to support the state, governor rule may be imposed.

Speaking to the media at Governor House, Peshawar, he emphasized that the government's cooperation with the federal authorities is crucial, adding that PTI's protests will achieve nothing.

"The state will not allow anyone to block the province or Islamabad. The provincial government must cooperate with the federation. If it does, all is well; if not, governor rule will be enforced," Kundi said. He praised the army for its sacrifices and noted that political decisions are made in courts, not on streets. Referring to PTI, he remarked, "Jail is no big deal, many political leaders have faced it. PTI should rehearse before attempting to approach Governor House."

Earlier, speaking as chief guest at a diabetes awareness seminar at Governor House, Kundi lauded medical experts for their active participation.

He highlighted that over 30 million Pakistanis suffer from diabetes, many unaware of their condition. "While modern technology has simplified treatment, prevention remains more effective. Diabetes is not only treatable but largely preventable.
