Scarlett Johansson is officially joining the cast of The Batman Part II, directed by Matt Reeves and starring Robert Pattinson as the titular hero.

Johansson’s involvement has prompted widespread speculation about which character she will portray in Gotham City, as Reeves’ grounded approach allows for both comic book adaptations and new interpretations.

Fans and industry observers have suggested several possibilities for Johansson’s role. One prominent theory is that she could play Poison Ivy (Pamela Isley), reimagined as an eco-terrorist rather than a superpowered villain.
