In a move to improve traffic flow, the Karachi commissioner has issued a notification banning Qingqis on additional key roads across the city, following recommendations from the DIG Traffic. The ban has been expanded to a total of 26 central roads and will remain in effect till December 17.

Authorities have directed strict action against violators, instructing SHOs to register cases under Section 188 and ordering relevant departments and deputy commissioners to ensure immediate compliance.

The decision was taken in response to public complaints about traffic congestion, road blockages, and the risk of accidents on major thoroughfares. The restrictions aim to enhance public safety, manage traffic more efficiently, and provide convenience to commuters.

The ban also continues on previously notified routes, including Shahrah-e-Faisal from Avari Light Signal to Madam Apartments, II Chundrigar Road from Tower to Shaheen Complex, Shahrah-e-Quaideen from Numaish to Shahrah-e-Faisal (Nursery), Shershah Suri Road from Matric Board Office to Nagan Chowrangi, Shaheed-e-Millat Road from Jail Chowrangi to the Expressway, Abdullah Haroon Road and Do Talwar corridor, Stadium Road from Millennium Mall to New Town Police Station, Sir Shah Suleman Road from Hassan Square to Karsaz, Rashid Minhas Road from Drigh Road to Sohrab Goth, Mauripur Road from Gulbai to ICI Bridge, Shahrah-e-Pakistan from Sohrab Goth to Liaquatabad No 10, Hub River Road from Paracha Chowk to Saeedabad, University Road from Safoora Chowrangi to Jail Chowrangi, Korangi Road from FTC to Qayyumabad and Qayyumabad to Korangi Crossing, Orangi Road from Raees Amrohvi Colony to Board Office, Super Highway to Malir Halt via Checkpost No 5 Malir Cantt to Tank Chowk, and Surjani (Abdullah Chowk) to Sohrab Goth via Nagan Chowrangi.
