A dramatic, water-driven billboard stole the spotlight this week during a Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 promotion at Hollywood and Vine. Served as the event’s most impressive feature and drew crowds throughout the day.

Tidal wave of Water comes out of the billboard for Disney Percy Jackson and the Olympians 💦 💧 pic.twitter.com/rnioBnBLDMUnlike traditional static billboards, this installation was built as a functional water tank, incorporating mist effects and small fountains that activated in coordination with footage from the newly released Season 2 trailer. The combination of flowing water and illuminated visuals created a dynamic, myth-inspired atmosphere echoing the series’ themes.
The amount of water coming out of billboard is INSANE! Most Immersive Marketing ever!
Total of 3 waterfalls! 💦 🤯😱 https://t.co/JY7Ibw2bx3 pic.twitter.com/AxvAH9U5TXThe billboard’s engineering—complete with continual mist bursts that drifted across the sidewalk—gave the corner of Hollywood and Vine an otherworldly feel, making it one of the most ambitious promotional pieces the series has staged to date. For many visitors, it became the primary reason to stop, film, and share the activation online.
The display promoted the upcoming second season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, based on Rick Riordan’s The Sea of Monsters, debuting December 10 on Disney+.
