Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has announced development projects worth Rs100 billion aimed at reviving Peshawar's past glory.

The CM made the announcement while chairing a meeting that brought together current and former members of the provincial and national assemblies from Peshawar, as well as senior political leaders of the city. The session focused on formulating actionable plans for urban development, improving civic infrastructure, and enhancing public amenities across Peshawar.

Highlighting the urgency of the initiative, CM Afridi declared that a grand meeting would be convened to fast-track the city’s mega projects. “Peshawar is not just the provincial capital; it is the face of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Its development, beautification, and resolution of core civic issues cannot be delayed,” he said, emphasising the government’s commitment to the city’s progress.
