On Monday night, November 24, three masked burglars smashed a sliding glass door and broke into the Studio City home of Benny Blanco’s mother, Sandra Levin, prompting a terrifying home-invasion.
Levin was alone in the house that night and upon hearing the breaking glass, she ran upstairs, locked herself inside a bathroom, and immediately called 911.
The suspects, reportedly three men wearing dark clothing and masks, allegedly kicked down the bathroom door. Despite their attempt, Levin remained unharmed.
By the time police from the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) arrived, the intruders had already fled. Several rooms had been ransacked and some items stolen, though specifics on what was taken were not immediately available.
While no arrests have been made and the suspects remain at large, the incident has shaken the family, especially given Blanco’s well-known close relationship with his mother. In a 2024 interview, Blanco described Levin as his “best friend”, recalling their regular Sunday routines together.
Police continue to investigate the break-in and are appealing for any witnesses who might provide information helpful to the case.
