A high-level meeting on winter gas load management was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik.
The minister said that, on the special directives of the prime minister, every possible step should be taken to ensure adequate gas supply to the public during the winter season, according to a press statement released on Monday.
Managing directors of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) briefed the meeting on the current availability of gas across the country.
Malik stated that necessary instructions had been issued to both Sui companies to facilitate the public. Re-gasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) connection rollouts were also reviewed. He added that this year's domestic gas supply situation was significantly better compared to last year. The federal minister emphasised that improvement in gas supply had been made with public comfort as a priority.
