Lady Gaga’s sister Natali Germanotta debuts at Vegas Fashion Week

Natali Germanotta, Lady Gaga’s sister, showcases her fashion talent at Vegas Fashion Week for the first time

Natali Germanotta has always been the force behind Lady Gaga’s most iconic looks, but now the younger Germanotta is stepping firmly into the spotlight. The costume designer and stylist made her official debut at the inaugural Vegas Fashion Week, showcasing a piece she designed for her superstar sister. Fans immediately recognised the bold pink feathered coat Gaga wore during her 2021 Las Vegas residency at Park MGM’s Dolby Live, highlighting Natali’s flair for drama and detail.

“It was made out of 60 boas, all hand-sewn onto a stretch mesh base,” Natali told People. “It was super lightweight, but fully lined inside and out for the reveal moment.” Her meticulous approach to costume design demonstrates why Gaga’s stage moments always feel larger than life.

Natali’s journey is rooted in a lifelong love of fashion. Born in 1992, she attended Parsons School of Design and built a portfolio that includes costumes for Gaga’s tours supporting Artpop (2013) and Cheek to Cheek (2014). She also contributed to A Star Is Born in 2018 as a stylist and has appeared on camera in several of Gaga’s music videos, including the 2009 hit “Telephone.”

Her talent extends beyond her sister. Earlier this year, Natali and her husband Alex Dolan opened On Stage Essentials, a Las Vegas-based sewing and costume supply store focused on show-girl aesthetics. The pair collaborated with Natali’s New York studio, Topo Studio, for the Vegas Fashion Week showcase. Fans familiar with Gaga’s performances will also recognise Natali’s signature style in the teal dress and feather capelet she designed for Gaga at the 2022 Grammys, which Gaga proudly shared on Instagram.

Social media lit up after Natali’s runway debut, with fans praising her creativity and attention to detail. Many noted that while she has long worked behind the scenes, Natali is clearly ready to claim her own spotlight. From helping pack up her sister’s instruments in high school to designing intricate stage costumes today, Natali Germanotta proves that talent, patience, and vision can turn backstage roles into front-row glory.
