Pakistan continue to win at IMC Over-40 T20 World Cup

The day two of the IMC Over-40 T20 Cricket World Cup 2025 saw Pakistan registering their second consecutive victory and the UAE’s Malik Qamar Abbas creating history with the tournament’s first century.
At the National Bank Stadium Karachi, Pakistan defeated Hong Kong by 57 runs to maintain their unbeaten run.
Batting first, Pakistan posted an impressive 192 for four. Vice-captain Fawad Alam led the charge with a brisk 56 from 28 balls, supported by Tariq Mahmood’s 46 off 27. In response, Hong Kong managed 135 for six in their 20 overs.
Mohammad Suleman claimed three for 35, while Zulfiqar Babar took two for 16.
Fawad Alam was named Player of the Match.
At Southend Club, the UAE overcame West Indies by five wickets, driven by a magnificent unbeaten 100 from Malik Qamar Abbas. His 57-ball knock, featuring 11 fours and five sixes, made him the first centurion of the Over-40s T20 World Cup. West Indies earlier set a total of 139 for five.
At Karachi Gymkhana, Rest of the Gulf defeated Zimbabwe by four wickets. Zimbabwe posted 107 for nine, which the Gulf side chased with three overs remaining.
In another fixture at the National Stadium, Sri Lanka scored 173 for eight against the USA, but the American side successfully reached the target with five wickets in hand. Suneth Sampath and Anwar Ahmad scored impressive half centuries.
South Africa produced the most dominant performance of the day, routing Canada by ten wickets at Karachi Gymkhana. Canada were bowled out for just 64, which South Africa chased without loss. Nathaniel Howard grabbed five wickets and was declared Player of the Match.
At Southend Club, Australia sealed a 43-run win over Rest of the World Team. Australia posted 151 for seven, while the opposition folded for 108 in pursuit.
