Amanda Bynes addresses claim about alleged pregnancy with Dan Schneider in viral edited video
Amanda Bynes has denied a viral claim suggesting disgraced Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider got her pregnant when she was 13, calling the allegation entirely false.
The former child star, now 39, told TMZ that the widely shared TikTok video circulating online had been digitally manipulated to create “lies for click bait”.
The now-deleted TikTok originated from a fan account and featured a clip of Bynes with text reading, “The man I got pregnant with him at the age of 13!” The post then cut to footage of a young Bynes in a hot tub with Schneider, a scene taken from her recurring sketch Amanda’s Jacuzzi on The Amanda Show between 1999 and 2002. The same clip also appeared in the 2024 documentary Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV.

Bynes explained that the video spliced together portions of her recent Instagram Story, in which she had turned the camera towards her boyfriend, before cutting it into the older jacuzzi footage to falsely suggest she had made serious allegations. She told TMZ the clip had been edited without her knowledge and did not reflect anything she had said.
Schneider has faced heightened scrutiny since Quiet On Set aired, a docuseries that examined allegations of inappropriate behaviour at Nickelodeon during his tenure. In May 2024, he sued the producers for defamation, claiming the programme falsely portrayed him as a child sex abuser.
Bynes has largely stepped away from public life since 2012, following several arrests and a psychiatric hold that led to extended treatment.
She has continued to share updates on her wellbeing, saying in March 2024 she was “doing a lot better now” after a period of depression and later documenting her weight-loss goals in 2025.
