Over 8k households registered in survey in Islamabad

Survey aims to strengthen planning and public service delivery

ISLAMABAD:

The household survey underway in Islamabad continued to make steady progress on Friday, with district teams documenting 1,754 families over the past 24 hours.

This brings the total number of recorded households to 8,145, while an additional 485 residents submitted their details independently via the mobile application.

Officials stated that the purpose of the survey is to compile accurate demographic data across both urban and rural areas of the capital. Over the past day, field teams visited homes door-to-door, collecting information from 1,754 families.

Meanwhile, 485 residents participated voluntarily by submitting their data through the district administration's mobile app. According to the administration, public engagement has been increasing, with a growing number of citizens opting to upload their information digitally.

To date, details from 8,145 households have been registered as part of the citywide initiative. Of these, 2,592 families provided their information independently through the application, while survey teams collected data from the remaining 5,553 households during in-person visits. This approach helps ensure coverage in localities where digital literacy or internet access may be limited.

A spokesperson for the district administration announced that the mobile app has been redesigned and streamlined in response to user feedback, with the aim of making the remote submission process more convenient for residents who prefer not to wait for survey teams to reach their neighbourhoods.
