Ariana Grande has said her forthcoming Eternal Sunshine tour will act as a “last hurrah”, indicating that she does not anticipate touring again for an extended period.

The singer confirmed the tour’s limited nature during an interview on Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast, where she discussed her return to major live performances after seven years away from the arena circuit. Grande explained that the run should be seen as a one-off event rather than the start of a longer touring schedule.

She told Poehler, “The last 10 or 15 years will look very different to the ones that are coming up. I don’t want to say anything definitive. I do know that I’m very excited to do this small tour, but I think it might not happen again for a long, long, long, long, long time. I’m going to give it my all and it’s going to be beautiful. I think that’s why I’m doing it because I’m like, ‘One last hurrah!’”

The Eternal Sunshine tour begins on June 6 in Oakland and will visit several major US cities, including Los Angeles, Austin, Atlanta, Brooklyn and Boston, before concluding its North American leg in Chicago on 5 August. Grande is then set to perform ten shows in London, marking her most substantial UK commitment in several years.

Alongside her touring plans, Grande discussed her role in the upcoming comedy film Focker In-Law, part of the Meet the Parents franchise.

The tour and film coincide with a period of renewed public activity for Grande as she balances music, acting and promotional commitments.
