.

With the approval of the Punjab governor, the registrar of the Lahore High Court has issued a notification establishing special courts in 37 districts - including Rawalpindi - for the prompt resolution of property-related disputes of overseas Pakistanis.
District and sessions judges have been directed to immediately transfer all overseas Pakistanis' cases pending in various courts to the designated judges, who will conduct swift hearings.
For Rawalpindi, Additional District and Sessions Judge Majid Hussain Gaddi has been appointed to hear property cases of overseas residents.
District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Asif has been assigned for Attock, Muhammad Arif Mujahid for Chakwal, and Gulzar Ahmed Khalid for Jhelum.
Vice Chairman of the Overseas Pakistanis Commission Punjab, Barrister Amjad Malik, said the establishment of these special courts reflects Chief Minister Punjab's vision of transparent and justice-based governance.
He said the governor, in consultation with the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court, has approved the formation of these courts under the Punjab Special Courts (Overseas Pakistani Property) Act 2025, with judges appointed in all districts of the province.
