According to The Mail, several principal actors — including Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, and Maude Apatow — did not attend, although no official explanation has been provided. The absences ignited online debate, with some fans believing the cast may be distancing themselves from Sweeney amid ongoing controversy surrounding her political associations and advertising work. Others argued that scheduling conflicts were a likely cause, noting that several cast members are currently involved in overlapping film and television commitments.
Sweeney reportedly viewed the event as an important professional moment, especially as her recent film Christy underperformed at the box office.
