‘Quiet!’ Trump silences reporter asking about Epstein emails

President Donald Trump abruptly cut off a reporter aboard Air Force One on Friday after being pressed about newly released Jeffrey Epstein emails that claim Trump “knew about the girls.”
The House Oversight Committee this week released thousands of Epstein’s emails, including a 2011 message in which Epstein alleged Trump “knew about the girls.” Another email said Trump spent “hours” at Epstein’s home with a person Democrats labeled as “Victim.” Republicans argued the person was Virginia Giuffre, who previously said she never saw Trump act inappropriately. Giuffre died by suicide earlier this year.
During the flight, a reporter asked Trump directly about Epstein’s remark. The president dismissed the reference and shifted attention to Epstein’s ties with other high-profile figures.
REPORTER: Mr. President, what did Jeffrey Epstein mean when he said you “knew about the girls”?
TRUMP: I know nothing about that… You should be asking about his time with Bill Clinton, with Larry Summers, with all the other people he spent time with. Epstein and I had a bad relationship for years. He wrote memos to himself — give me a break.
REPORTER: Sir, if there’s nothing incriminating in the files—
TRUMP: Quiet! Quiet!
Trump then moved on to another question.
Trump: Epstein and I had a very bad relationship for many years. You have got to find out what did he know with respect to Bill Clinton… all those people that knew including JP Morgan Chase..
Reporter: If there is nothing incriminating in the files, why not—
Trump: QUIET!… pic.twitter.com/rtyEXSbFL1Attorney General Pam Bondi has faced scrutiny after reversing her earlier claim that an Epstein “client list” was “sitting on my desk,” later insisting no such list existed. Bondi has reportedly told Trump his name appears in the DOJ files, which he has resisted releasing.
The House is scheduled to vote Tuesday on whether to formally demand the Justice Department make the documents public.
