RAWALPINDI:

Police across the Rawalpindi Division have been ordered to search for a Russian student who mysteriously went missing while traveling from Islamabad to Peshawar.

According to sources, the student, identified as Gelogave Ali, who arrived from Russia, left Islamabad for Peshawar but disappeared under unexplained circumstances. Following reports of his disappearance, the matter was elevated to senior authorities, prompting both federal and provincial interior departments to instruct police officials to locate the student and provide updates on his whereabouts.

Rawalpindi Regional Police Officer (RPO) Babar Sarfaraz Alpa issued formal orders to all six districts in the Rawalpindi Division. Additionally, the City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi directed the three divisional SPs — SP Rawal, SP Potohar, and SP Saddar — to assist in the investigation.

The directives included full details of the student, including his date of birth (May 22, 2004) and passport number. Police were instructed to verify whether the individual is currently in custody in Rawalpindi, whether any case has been registered against him, or if he has been presented in court under any legal proceedings.
