Erewhon has removed Hailey Bieber’s name from its well-known Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie, according to the Los Angeles Times. The drink, which became one of Los Angeles’ most recognised wellness items after its 2022 debut, now appears on menus simply as the Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie.
Visits to several Erewhon stores in October and November confirmed the updated label, though the drink’s pink-and-white appearance and ingredients remain unchanged. The smoothie is promoted as a “skin-supporting” blend made with almond milk, strawberries, vanilla collagen and sea moss.
Bieber, who founded the skincare brand Rhode, previously promoted the beverage as part of her routine and said in Vogue that it contributed to her skin’s appearance. The Los Angeles Times reported that thousands of units were sold within the first month of its release.
Reports suggest the name change is linked to contractual terms. TMZ stated that the collaboration had ended and the agreement had reached its conclusion. Erewhon and representatives for Bieber have not issued public comments on the update.
Although the smoothie no longer carries her name, Bieber remains associated with Erewhon through other offerings, including the $10.50 Strawberry Glaze Soft Serve Sundae. Erewhon has also released a $100 nationwide DIY smoothie kit based on the drink, with her name similarly absent from the product.
Since the launch of the original Hailey Bieber smoothie, Erewhon has continued hosting celebrity collaborations featuring Sabrina Carpenter, Kourtney Kardashian, Olivia Rodrigo, Bella Hadid and Katy Perry.
Coverage has noted that none have reached the level of attention generated by Bieber’s drink, while reviews of the range have varied. Some customers praised the flavour, while others questioned the “skin-supporting” claims tied to the ingredients.
The Strawberry Glaze Skin Smoothie remains available in stores, now without its original branding.
